Close friends I know on this website expect me to come out swinging my 'Dogma' sword furiously, trying to convert those heathens that have yet to see the light that is 'Dogma'*, but I'm not that predictable (sorry Vivian;)). I offer the other hand that dabbles in the DVD trade. I'm hooked on DVD's now cuz they are arguably the coolest things to play with. I now own 5 DVD's and my fav by far (okay, maybe I am kind of predictable : is my Bruce Campbell vs. The Army of Darkness, the Director's Cut. Anybody who's seen the movie knows how at the very least intrigueing it is, with those patent Ash-isms ("You found me beautiful once." "Baby, you got real ugly.") and action to suit any Gryffindor. Who can't fall in love with a guy who has a chainsaw for a hand and a gun in his other one (Double barrel Remmington, S-Mart's top of the line)? But the deleted scenes, commentary and original ending do it for me. This movie deserves to be seen in its intended form. I now wield my DVD sword to convert those heathens who have not seen the light that is the DVD. Army of Darkness, the Evil Dead, Interview with the Vampire, Queen of the d**ned, Edward Scissorhands and much, much more. Hey, if you're willing to part with a little more green, opt for the VHS/DVD player so you don't have to get rid of your video cassettes. There's one on Amazon.com for $130. *I kid when I say heathens. I'm just real gung ho about 'Dogma' and will parade it quite willingly (as one can tell from my signiture and avatar...).
