Entering the classroom, you see the chairs/tables lined up in an orderly manner facing north. Each row from the left to the right are in pairs of three tables with two chairs on each table and continuing south. In the front of the room, there is a red oak table, covered neatly with what looks like to be blank parchment and a stack of books on the side, and with a furnished wooden chair tucked behind it. A small black cat is sitting elegantly on the table, licking its paws and staring intently at you (the students) with its purple-green eyes.
Warmth fills you and surrounds you, comforting you in a strange way. Looking around, you see a painting of a fireplace on the wall, moving/acting as if it was real. Maybe that was where the warmth came from. The tables and chairs are also lavished but with designs all over the exterior. Beautiful designs. You touch them and trace the trail around and around. It seems to never stop. Never-ending. But that's impossible.
A small 'meow' caught your attention to the front of the classroom once again. Suddenly, the small persian black cat tranformed into a lady, a female person. One word that described her the most was elegant. Her walk, her fashion, her features, it all glowed with the word. One must think she is a gentle person. She is but her stance says to all that although she is elegant in manner, she is firm also. Astonished ((I'm assuming it is your first time for this class, so pretend if you must)), you gasp. Your eyes widening in awe and surprise. How? What? Then, she spoke. Or was it the cat? ((Humor I'm trying to bring so as not you be bored.))
"Hello. Good day to you all. I am Professor Veran. I shall be teaching you Transfiguration. If you have read the notice before you arrived here, you know what to expect. If you haven't, I suggest you read it now. It will help you in the future. If you have any questions about the notice or anything in particular related to transfiguration that I've talked about, you may ask me after class. ((That is when I am online, or send me a message saying you want to ask a question.)) I will try to answer you as best as I can. Please sit wherever you choose to sit, for now. The next following classes, you will have the choice of sitting in a particular area, table, or/and chair (1 chair in a table in an area). And it shall be permanent until the next seating arrangement shall be switched. I shall inform you when that'll happen in the beginning of class."
She moves swiftly to the stack of books, sitting on the side of the table. Grasping it and holding it in her hands, she says again, "This is Transfiguration. And I expect you all to learn and move rather quickly in this subject. But, *she pauses*, we shall slow down a bit so that everyone will get used to how this class works. Since all of you are of different years, I have decided to bring you all here for the very first class of Transfiguration." She walks around a bit, her robe flowing with her graceful movements. The book in her hand, the pages flipping from one side to another, then closing shut. "You are expected to finish the homework given to you, no matter how long and how difficult it is."
She walks slowly back to the front of her desk, in the front of the room and places the book of which she was holding on the polished red oak table. A 'boosh' sound was heard from it. "Your assignment for today is to get the books needed for your year if you haven't already. And .. *she pauses for silence* .. a three-sentence meaning of transfiguration. Black and blue inks are accepted in homework. No other color inks are accepted and shall be taken as a zero. This will be due the next time you have class. Until then, I expect there will be no procrastinators here unless you have a 'real' excuse for not doing so."
