Classes of Tranfiguration shall start on November 24.
Mandatory books you will need for the class depending on which year you are in. Extra books shall be added in during the year.
Year 1 - The Introduction to Transfiguration
Year 2 - If you wish, use the same book as Year 1 and buy another book called 'The Beginner's Guide to Transfiguration. If not, you may buy 'The Transfiguration Firsts - Double Volumes'.
Year 3 - You may need the last few chapters of Year 2, the second book, and 'From Objects to Objects - Intro'
Year 4 - Inanimate to Animate
Year 5 - Half-and-Half, Correct Spelling and Pronunciation of Spells - Volumes 3 & 4
Year 6 - Counter-spells of Movement, Correct Spelling and Pronunciation of Spells - Volume 5
Year 7 - An Expertise of Transfiguration, Intermediate Reading of Transforming, A to Z Study of Reimage, Mind to Soul to Wand,
Inner to Image to Spell, IIS Equals Resultant of T, CSPS - Fin
Please note that CSPS (Correct Spelling and Pronunciation of Spells) is not regularly needed for this class. But, points are earned by correct spelling and pronunciation during the course.
The class grade is divided up as such:
25 % Class Participation and Attendance
35% Tests and Quizzes
35% Homework and Classwork
5% Extra
100% = Resulting Grade
The 5% Extra is for any outside knowledge one has for the subject, depending on how specific, vast, or the effort it took for the student to answer. It means 'extra effort'. It also includes for other things not mentioned before.
(((You do not need to worry about the books. If you can understand what tranfiguration is, then you will pass astonishingly.)))
The passing mark that I will accept is a B+ or a 85 and above. The passing grade in the class is an 70. There should be no failures in this course for I will not accept any. If by any chance you are failing, please message me for tutoring and look up at the tutoring schedules.
Before you post in the class, please write down your name, your house, and which year you are in.
Seating arrangements are free for the first several classes. You may sit wherever you choose to, somewhere where you won't cause trouble or interruption in the class. If you do such things, you will immediately get detention, loss of points taken, and have a permanent seating arrangement elsewhere.
Tutoring schedules will be up and posted in that area soon after the second class has started. Tutoring works by one-on-one student or one-on-a group of students. It can work by me answering your questions for that particular subject. I will not accept any tutoring, extra help, 2 days prior to any test or quiz. There will be pop quizzes, of which you need to be ready at all times.
Since there are limited amount of people active in this (site) school, all years shall meet in the first class of Transfiguration to clear things up.
And since I understand the reality of this situation, there would be no points taken off if your homework is not done by the required time. BUT, you must do your homework or else points will be taken off. If you have a problem with the deadline of the homework/report/project, contact me through a post in this forum, stating the days you are busy and free within a certain amount of time period. I will try and fit everyone in so as to not labor over this 'imaginary' homework over your 'real' one. But it does not mean there should be procrastinators around here and no lazy bums too. Once you find the time, you may start the 'imaginary' homework.
Homework is relatively easy, depending if you understand the subject matter or topic. It is between written papers and oral presentations. I do not expect you to take a handful of time doing such and such a homework, so I will try to make it easy for you. But don't expect me to make this easy for you for the rest of the year.
For any questions of this notice, you may message me at any time. or post in the new thread called 'Questions'. I like to neatly organize my things so not to trouble myself of finding them. My room is a clatter so that thread is a temporary place of which I can answer your impending ((j/k)) questions.
Thank you and Have a Good Day!
