Don't read this thread if you want to be surprised about the book cuz you haven't read it yet. It's quite worth the wait. But those of you that have, chat away.

Well... I suppose I can start. Anybody else as pissed off as I am that she killed Sirius? I think that that was really rather scummy. She even admitted that she cried while writing it... if something hurts that much and you have no reason to do it, then don't. I say have no reason because putting a dislocated shoulder back in its socket hurts, but you kind of have to put it back in eventually... Somehow, I don't really liken Sirius' death to a dislocated joint. You can all disagree of course, but that's just my humble opinion.

I really hope so. He was my favorite character. *sulk* And now I find out that after OWL year, Harry has no reason to see Snape anymore... and I suspect she's gonna' kill Lupin off... I can't take it anymore!!! She's gonna' get rid of all my favorites characters, I know she is. *sob* But this is off topic. The 5th book wasn't my favorite, (that's the 3rd one) but it is my 2nd favorite. I just wish Harry wasn't such a whiny brat.

Ya...the whiny brat thng got a bit annoying! But can ya blame him....Anyways okay was I the onyl one flipping out because it seemed as though she killed Hermionie?!? I know in the end it wasn't Adavra Kedavra, but I was crying because I thought she did! My favorite was without a doubt Goblet of Fire! I was also crying when she killed Cedric, but that's old news. that's all for now!
TOODLES!

I really didnt like this one. I got so annoyed with Harry being this whiny brat. All he did was yell. Every other word was capitalized. i thought that sirius got kinda annoying too with all the whining. I still hope she does something w/ him in the 6th and 7th books. I fully expected her to kill off Dumbldore b/c the actor died. Thank god she didnt. hes my favorite. Goblet of Fire was totally my favorite but Prizoner of Azkaban came in close second. I thought this one was annoying second to last next to Chamber of Secrets. I hope Harry stops whining in the next one!

I'll admit, Sirius and Harry did have reason to complain (prolly lots of them) but nobody wants to read that stuff. People want to read about the heroes being heroic and brave and so forth. If they whine, it reminds people too much of reality and that's no fun. It doesn't really make for a good story.

But wait...Harry TEXTmightTEXT have to see Snape...if he wants to become and Auror. I don't know. I'm sad that she killed Sirrus, but like Gwen said, she probably has a reason for it. It's kind of like why Harry wasn't chosen as a prefect...we didn't know the reason when it happened, but we found out.

Ahh, I don't think Padfoot is really dead...I mean, he can't be, right? Moony just didn't know what he was talkng about, he was in shock...I hope.
Even though Padfoot supposivly "passed on", he's still my favorite character, besides Moony, of course.
I got really ticked that everyone was making Potter out to be the bad guy, because he did BLOODY NOTHING! Now, if he had killed Diggory, I'd be able to understand. But the kid did nothin' wrong!
Sending Lucius off to Azkaban was complete and utter carp. He's going to get out, everyone knows it. So, why send the bloke in the first place? HMM?!!!
Whatever, this book has the makings of a good one, but I can't say it was my favorie because of the Padfoot and Lucius thing...I'm sorry.

The thing that annoyed me the most about book 5 was that Harry was such a baby. If he were going to blow up, he should have done it in the first couple of books so readers could expect it. It seriously got old after the first couple of times.
As far as Harry getting persecuted, I think Harry faced prejudice in just about every book so far, hasn't he? Maybe it's just a celebrity thing.
Maybe I over analyze too much.

No your not overanalyzing he has faced it every book even if it wasn't the main theme of it...it wasn't quite so bad in OOTP though.

Not at all. He should have snapped in the second book.
